Natural Dyeing 101

Have you wanted to try dyeing with natural products found around the house, or things that you can forage for in your backyard and neighborhood? Join Kristin Webber, owner of Chicken Librarian, as she shows you the ins and outs of basic dyeing and natural ingredients. Not only will you get hands-on experience with dyeing, but you will get information on how to dye, what modifiers can be used to change the color of the dye, and find out some fun surprises about seasonal dyeing and colors along the way!

For this Spring dye workshop we will be using onion skins, dandelions, and cochineal. Students will receive an instruction handout and (3) mini skeins that they dyed!

Keep an eye out for our Natural Dyeing 102 class, which includes dyeing with mordants and eco-printing!
